Greetings, all!
Despite that insane Nor’eastah we went through over the weekend, Anthro New England 2024 concluded with new records topped, another safe, fun and friendly weekend completed – and our tireless staff finally getting their annual break from con crunch chaos! We’re thrilled that some of the new ideas we tried were well received, and we’ve got plenty of notes on how we can do even better for next year.
Anthro New England’s ninth year is in the history books, and our second year at the wonderful Westin Boston Seaport! An incredible 4,482 of you waited out the snowy weather with us, and helped us to raise a whopping $30,000 for our charities, Wings of the Dawn and Youth on Fire!
We want to thank our wonderful Guests of Honor for 2024, DJ Woozie, Wolf (of HOWL OUT) and Declan Mouse! They all contributed so much for our event both over the year leading up, and the entire weekend – putting on unique experiences for all who attended!
Each and every department of our staff put in their all to make everything happen – our Registration team in particular was able to tackle the thousands of attendees who lined up Thursday and Friday night, with the lines being GONE by 10pm! Our video team did a test run of using industry-grade video cameras to film our main events, which our team is working on completing the edits for and we expect to have out before the end of the year. Keep an eye on our Youtube and socials for those!
Now that we’re past that – it’s on to ANE 2025! And… guys… where’s Copley?! Our beloved deer mascot Copley seems to have disappeared! It’s up to YOU to find him at our 2025 event! We’re featuring some of the best in deer detection (deertection)… our Guests of Honor for 2025: Jaystor, NONSTOPPUP and Godbirdart! We can’t wait to show you the lineup of events we’ve got in the works!
We’re thrilled that our 2025 event will include both Ballrooms for all of our main days! This means the Dance Comp, larger events and main events on Sunday will be featuring in our big Grand Ballroom instead of Harbor! Keep an eye out for what’s to come on our socials! Rumor has it our Night Market might be getting something special…
Last but not least – if you haven’t heard, hi! I’m Atlas – I’m one of your two convention co-chairs of Anthro New England! We’re thrilled to be able to help our favorite convention become bigger and better, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to Boston this coming January!
